The office has been open since February 21, 2007. (our Lewes office since 1/17/12) GPS units have difficulty with our address as it is very new. Some of the new updated units can find our address. We generally recommend you follow our easy instructions which are written down as follows - take I-95 to exit 4B. Take Churchman's Road till the road ends at Route 4. (Across the street yo uwill see the western entrance to Delaware Park.) Turn right onto route 4 east. Drive past one traffic light (which happens to be Old Churchman's Road) and then proceed 0.2 miles to the next and only right sided driveway. This is the driveway for the Abby Medical Center and there is a small green street sign which marks Centurian Drive. There is also a GO-CARE yellow sign on the grass just before the driveway.
To get to our Lewes office - simply go the Food Lion at the Five Points Shopping Center. WE are right around the corner - one doorway from Zen and right next to the KlosetKidz and Ocean Grill. We are right in between both stores - the Grill is separated by us by a small alley. We are on the same side as the Quest Fitness. Call us if you have difficulty -302-827-4251.
We are in the back of the building. In suite 107. The closest parking is in the back. That way you do not have to walk as far. But if you need electronic self opening doors - then we suggest you enter by the front door.
If you must use a GPS unit our kittycorner neighbor is easy to fine. 4923 Ogletown Stanton Road is across the street from us and down the street by 0.2 miles. If you get to that location via Rt 4. You can turn around - and at Route 4 (Ogletown Stanton Road) proceed on Rt 4 east to the next right sided driveway - which is about 0.2 miles. If you need help please just call 302-295-3367.
If you are coming from Middletown take Rt 1 till it ends. go past one light - and you will see the Border Cafe on the left. At the next light turn left onto Route 4 W. Then make your IMMEDIATE first left into the driveway - of the Abby Medical Center.
3T MRI is the best MRI you can get period. It is faster, more detailed and more flexible than any other MRI unit. Don't play games, get the best! The faster scans are a real advantage.
We can scan with all sorts of special sequences that can accentuate the abnormality. We have special sequences to look for disc herniations and are more sensitive for small disk herniations than any other scanner. This means we usually find more herniations than other scanners. We use a special contiguous fat sat PD (proton density) sequence which only we do at 3T. This is because our scanner is faster so we can do more in the same time. We don't do just the same. We always try to do more! This sequence picks up the smallest disc herniations. There are many doctors who do not understand the difference. They do not know about BLADE. They do not know about the super senstive fat sat proton density images. If you get your scan elsewhere you will always wonder if the 3T scanner could see more. We also use no ionizing radiation. MRI can replace CT in many cases. And it does not have ths HUGE radiation dose that a CT scan has. Many patients erroneously believe that MRI uses xrays or ionizing radiation. It does not. It only uses radio waves.
We scan with thinner sections than most other scanners. We are four times as fast - so for instance thin sections in the brain might take 5-6 minutes on other scanners. On ours it can take only 1 minute. And this allows us to pick up more subtle abnormalities. If you scan with thicker sections the thick sections can make you miss the abnormality. CLEAR PICTURES, FASTER SCANS AND BETTER CONTRAST are all advantages of 3T MRI.
