Our company is built on the principles of making the highest quality MRI. We want to help you to remain calm and hold still for the highest quality study possible on the planet. 3T is twice as good! FASTER, BETTER and SAFER (because we can use less contrast!). Our 3T Siemens Trio magnet has been chosen by many universities as their research system because of its many capabilities. We have chosen the same magnet as the University of Pennsylvania, Fox Chase Cancer Center and Johns Hopkins University. By having the same magnet system we can offer most of the same studies you can get at a university hospital. We also hope to upgrade our system to the newest Tim surface coil package. We have the 1st 3T MRI installed in Delaware. We will do the thinnest sections (0.6mm to 2mm) possible and produce studies of the highest resolution possible for our patients. The 3T magnet is the most important part of our system and was chosen because of its high quality magnetic field. The images can be obtained with parallel acceleration and contiguosly letting us get images of incredible detail without any skip. Our unique service has established our place as being the best MRI for our patients in Delaware. We will also be performing functional MRI which lets us see the brain while it is thinking. This allows us to make a distinctive and substantial difference in imaging of brain tumors and for pre-surgical planning. 3T MRI is 4 times as good as 1.5T functional imaging. We care about every patient we see. We use the safest contrast in 1/2 or single doses.  We want to make you comfortable. We want to inform you about your study before you get here. We want you to know about MR safety. Our office is designed with the new ACR guidelines for safety. We have various rings of screening to make the MRI study the safest possible for you. We also have a DVDs which are projected on a screen you can watch during your scan. This optical solution is better than glasses you can wear because it does not have the complication of electrical wires over your body in a varying magnetic field. In our WIDE OPEN MRI - the scanner will have a plasma TV installed int he ceiling of the room so you can watch your favorite movie while having your lumbar spine scanned. Our facilities were designed from the beginning to offer you patient comforts which are unavailable at other facilities. We also have a spa in the building where you can arrange to have aromatherapy or massage just prior to your MRI study. This lets you be relaxed for your study and hopefully more cooperative. We just need you to hold absolutely still during the pulse sequences which collect data for your images. An MRI scanner does not snap a picture like a camera. It collects data and this data is reconstructed into a series of images. When you move you do not spoil just one image. You create motion artifacts on all the images all at once. The entire series may be affected. Staying still is the patient's most important task. We realize that some patients (pediatric patients) may not be as cooperative and have designed our facility to have patient monitoring and outpatient anesthesia. We have medical gases in the scan room - O2 and suction. This allows us to provide the highest level of care to our patients. Most MRI facilities do not have this capability and therefore when you need oxygen you get a lower quality study since they use an open door while they scan. This adds noise and artifacts to your MRI image. A well designed facility is one of the most important things we can do for our patients. We have a very quiet sound system you can listen to during many of your MRI scans.

We implore you to ask...  questions, ask about why we are better for almost any MRI study.  Although my competitors are saying that 3T is too advanced and too new to be useful.  I have to counter that my 3T has helped countless people in their disease process by finding more about their disease and finding small findings and subtle lesions I was never able to see before.  And I have 20 plus year experience in MRI.
